I am sorry but I am new to the ipod stuff...what does the lock button do? Is it important to have to run the ipod? Sorry dont mean to sound stupid just dont know much about these. Thanks

A lock is to save power much or just to turn of i pod but the piece to lock fell out but it is still in god condition

Well, on all iPod models the capacity shows on the back plate right under the signature iPod mark- I think this is either a 30or 60GB model.
