Up for bids is this Hitachi Deskstar 500GB SATA Hard Drive. It is Brand New and it will ship in the anti-static bag as seen in the photos. it will also be wrapped in bubble wrap to avoid damage.
I have taken multiple photo's to make it as easy as possible for everyone to read all the info on the lable.

Ah ok still technically using it or not once it's out of the original box I believe it's Considered a used item. Just saying since I did quite a few RMA's and Computer service and support. Opening any item from it's original box/packaging makes it a Used item. Just like Walmart and their DVD Return/Refund Policy. They can exchange it but won't refund you once the packaging is removed. Hope you don't take me wrong just trying to make sure things are understood and not trying to down the auction. This is a great auction to whomever the winner is. Good Luck Guys/Gals.

sorry to upset you on that matter, but I test everything I have. I will not ship anything to anyone unless I know it is in 100% working order before I send it. if you want to consider it used for that fact so be it, but I refuse to send junk to my fans here on listia and if you were to receive something in non working order from one of my auctions I will gladly refund you your points. I am not here to screw anyone out of a good product. I am here to give my fans the products they deserve to be bidding on. I will always test hardware because I know that factories who make these types of producs even make mistakes. I dont want my fans to have to deal with these mistakes.

This is brand new? Why does the Date say 2007? This is a USED HDD not new. This is misguiding. This item isn't new because it's not in warranty and because the Sticker says 2007.

that is the manufacture date. the waranty goes off of the sell date which it was sold to me on oct 28th 2011. it is brand new and I have the recipt to prove it which will be sent with the item to the person who wins the auction.

Dang sorry didn't know sometimes people say things are new and normally things dated that old get sold pretty quick. Sorry if I accused you of anything but I did do an RMA check and said it was out of warranty. Note: Make sure who ever wins the item Registers it with the Receipt information after they get it. I am sorry for my accusations it's just that I am an IT Specialist by trade and have done quite a few RMA's and hardware sales.

I hooked it up to a computer and tested it to make shur it ran and the computer recognised it and then unhooked it. there has never been any data stored to it.
