Now that I've been using these myself, I have a couple of hints ...
I often have problems getting plain earrings through the back hole (guess they were pierced a bit off), so once I have these protectors in, I leave them in 24/7 !
Have had ZERO irritation since, so it works for me :-)
It does recommend using a bit of lubrication (because they're bigger than a mere post), and I found that TripleAntibiotic ointment is perfect for that job, and with a bit of patience, you're good to go.
