Win this gorgeous 4 piece set here on Listia. Very old but beautiful! It would look lovely on your dresser or vanity. In pretty nice shape considering its age (60+ yrs) but one of the little glass containers has a small crack on the lid. You get a brush, comb, and two matching powder/ cream containers. You also get the doily shown in the photos!!!!! Bow brooch does not come with this auction UNLESS you GIN (see last 2 photo) Free shipping too!

A fascinating and Exquisite set, a beautiful offering! Is the metal sterling or pewter? Both the comb and the brush have the look of sterling, and perhaps even the brooch, though I saw no hallmarks or stamps (but, being very old, they wouldn't necessarily have been used... I read all the commentary before inquiring, certain that surely someone would have asked before me, but, finding no mention, I chose to ask... I've FAN'd you, am WATCHING and will probably bid! Most excellent listing, Thanks!!

Thank you for asking and your kind comments. I can't really say what it's made of because to be honest, I don't really know. It seems to me to be a gold tinted metal of some sort. The handle is solid and heavy but the frame is almost like a tin type of material. Either way it's definitely a beautiful set. Fanned back ;)
