The listing, * Magical Garden* 10 Oregon Fleabane Daisy Seeds has ended.
This is a perennial herb that are 1/2 to 2&1/2 inch tall. Each stem bears several showy 2 inch flower heads. It is a lavender color with a yellow-orange disc. It blooms June thru August, likes full sun and dry to moist soil.
Showy fleabane will form colonies. Divide mature plants when the rosettes begin to overlap. Remove fallen leaves from nearby trees in the fall, as they can smother the rosettes and cause them to rot.
Seeds may be sown in the fall or the following spring without any cold treatment. Nutlets develop rapidly in the 2 to 3 weeks following bloom period. Collect seed heads in a paper bag when the nutlets begin to turn brown. Air dry, clean and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
This magic herb is associated with Hephaistos, who was the son of Hera. He made Zeus's thunderbolts. Some see him as the first Alchemist.
