Cute little moonstone sculpture

if this goes well, I also have an elephant I will put up in another auction after this one

Moonstone... Opalite.. it really doesn't make a difference. Its super cute

People were saying on my other auction it was opalite. It said moonstone where I got it.. but if you disagree, please don't constantly say so.

Opalite is half transparent and half cloudy, it is reflective and will throw rainbows but you can see through it, and doesn't have that kind of rainbow flash like moonstone. Moonstone is much more opaque with tons of rainbow flash. The kitty is a dead giveaway that they are NOT opalite :-) Moonstone is my favorite gem and I have studied it for years. People will see moonstone and think it's opalite and will see opalite and think it's moonstone when they are untrained on gemstones, also opalite is man made hence why it never has any inclusions. I too have had people try to challenge me on what stones I had so I do my best to educate them gently :-) I'm watching both auctions in hopes of adding them to my collection. Namaste
