Up for auction is another really old US stamp-- it's a 4c brown with Abraham Lincoln, I believe it is a Scott number 269 from 1895. WITH watermark. It is in used condition with what seems like a fairly light cancel for this time period. BACK THIN but looks presentable. Scott catalog value $3.25..

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away a few years ago, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad accumulated stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
