This fantasy story that explores a fantastic realm involving 10 different kingdoms populated by different fairy tale characters. However, the fairy tales in these kingdoms have not ended how they should. In the worlds of "The 10th Kingdom" an evil queen has taken over, and the only way for the nine kingdoms to gain their freedom is if they find the secret portal to the 10th, which just happens to be located in Central Park. Charming human world accidentally meets with other realms/worlds. Virginia (Williams) and her father Tony (Larroquette) encounter a stray dog wandering the streets of New York City. The dog turns out to be Snow White's Prince Wendell under a spell by an evil queen (Wiest) who plans to rule his kingdom! In an effort to help the prince, they follow him through a magic mirror into a mystical world where trolls, giants, and goblins wander and fairy tales such as Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood actually happened.
