I won't laugh at all. Cross Stitch you have thread and a needle and a fabric you sew x's on to form your picture. With crochet you are making lots of loops and intertwining them to make a blanket, hat, booties, scarves etc. I used this book for the step by step pictures and to learn to read a pattern. Then after I got that down I used you tube for more difficult stitches that I could NEVER get without learning the basics in this book. Fanning back and thank you.
