Description

The listing, Eastern Red Cedar Tree 10 seeds FREE shipping has ended.

Eastern Red Cedar or Juniperus virginiana is a dense slow-growing coniferous evergreen tree that may never become more than a bush on poor soil, but is ordinarily from 16–66 ft.
The fine-grained, soft brittle pinkish- to brownish-red heartwood is fragrant, very light and very durable, even in contact with soil. Because of its rot resistance, the wood is used for fence posts. The aromatic wood is avoided by moths, so it is in demand as lining for clothes chests and closets, often referred to as cedar closets and cedar chests. If correctly prepared, it makes excellent English longbows, flatbows, and Native American sinew-backed bows.Stratify at 41 degrees for 30-120 days.

Seed treatment: Stratify at 41 degrees for 30-120 days.

The fruits are a staple for many birds and small mammals. Also provides nesting material and cover. Attracts birds & butterflies.

Fan me, I fan back. Watchers welcome.

what do I need to do to get the trees to grow? What kind of weather and where do they grow? I will be using them to decorate my lawn. I live in Ky and I have no trees in my yard.

I am in AR & they grow everywhere here. They aren't too particular about where they grow.
