a skin, just means the character, meaning you can play as Savage Kantus in multiplayer, Four different vendors gave out a different bonus character if you pre-ordered it. Best Buy- Mechanic Baird, Game-stop- Commando Dom, Amazon- Savage Kantus, and Wal-mart- Savage Grenader.

Its a downloadable content code for Gears of War 3 game that includes an unlockable multi-character Savage Kantus skin~ This is all I know really, but when my brother returns home this afternoon I will get a better explanation for you :)
