Thanks again. You know that old saying "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar"? I always thought, "But why would I want to catch flies?" lol Whenever we'd go to the State Fair, I'd always go in the buildings where they were selling crafts and things. I was absolutely enchanted by the glass blowers and people who made things with stained glass. I took a pottery class in junior high and made my mom a square box with a beautiful glaze, then later made her a lavendar candle, too. She was a beautiful blonde with blue eyes and she always looked great in pastels. I love little trinkets and boxes and things like that. I have a keychain that belonged to my mom that has a little music box attached that still works. I love all sorts of antiques, too. That's the good stuff - sentiment and good quality that was made to last.

Your comments bring so many memories as well as smiles...my family always traveled to the NYS Fair as well as the Corning Glass Works! It was a family Summer tradition that still makes me warm when I think of it. Also, I too collect trinket boxes! How lovely of you to share your memories so that I could enjoy my own!!!
