No Offense taken~however years ago when I started listing gift cards, I thought the same as you...until I had to go back to the store, Subway & Quiznos..because they were not loaded! I did have quite a time for a while until a manager at Walmart & KMart both told me to scratch the strip and call or go on-line to verify the cards before gifting.
I have since had one that I had to have redone..
So I guess it comes down to this : I verify the cards I list are loaded, if I wasn't sure the card is loaded, well I wouldn't think of sending it out. Check my feedback*
You either trust me or you don't, if you don't than that is your choice.. I guess you will be able to find a card auction without the card being verified loaded on Listia
if you want to look around.

I always scratch the back of all my gift cards before mailing them to the winners and i take pictures of the pin numbers on the card. I have had winners file disputes saying there was no money on the card, but by giving lista the picture and number it can be called in to show the card was used where the winner lives. I will never mail out another gift card without keeping the card information
