This Auction is for a Semi-Precious Golden Rutilated Quartz Crystal Gemstone Sphere and Mahogany Stained Wooden Stand. The Sphere is 35 mm in diameter and is 3/4" tall. The Mahogany Stained Wood Stand measures 1 1/4th " in diameter by 1/2" tall. Combine the Rutilated Quartz Sphere and Stand together measure 1 1/2" tall.

Quartz stones that contains mineral inclusions are called "rutilated quartz" or "sagenite", popularly known as Venus-hair stone. Rutiles are small needlelike crystals. These may be red, black or brassy yellow.
