I don't have a cloth tape to measure the exact side it is. The watch is in an oval shape and has a clip clasp which is why I can't wear it. I generally wear a 7-1\2 to 8 watch. I would measure the width of your wrist where you would wear the watch, then measure the thickness of you wrist from up and down. That is how I did the measurements. If the thickness had been a 2-1/2 it may have fit. Size 7 is small so I would think you would be okay but with out trying it on I can't be sure.
