Description
The listing, canada 1963 triple hanging 3 pennie has ended.
uncirculated coin.Definition:
A die clash error happens when the coin dies come together in the coining press without a planchet between them. This causes an imprint of each die to be left on the opposing die face. For example, an impression of the obverse die is left on the reverse die, and vice versa. Although the Mint usually makes an effort to clean up these marks, they are sometimes visible on the coins themselves............SEE NICKEL EXAMPLE OF BEAVER DIE CLASH
Questions & Comments
To SOPOORCANSURIVE : A penny Die ( the piece of metal that the mint engraver cuts the numbers ,letters and picture image into ..like when you see yourself in a mirror backwards )( there are two ..one for front of coin and a different one for the back of coin) . A Planchet is ( a blank piece of metal that is pre-cut to size of the coin being made) . The mint employees place a planchet onto a die , the two dies are then pressed together under high pressure causing the engraved image to be pressed into the metal blank turning it into a coin . Is that more clear for you to understand ? ./M.
OK I Now can see that the 3 is "hanging" thanks BUT Am not sure what you mean by " transferred in the collision of two dies "please since you have already taught me something , continue and explain " transferred in collision of two dies" i'd greatly appreciate , curious what dies"" would be in a penny ? i feel very stupid here ,perhaps it's easy to comprehend and im just not getting it,lol,
