The listing, ANCIENT FOSSIL BELEMNITE RARE has ended.

Beautiful Belemnitella americana specimen from the Cretaceous (70 million years ago). Belemnites were an ancient cephalopod similar to current day squid/cuttlefish. This fossil is the only hard part commonly preserved in the fossil record from belemnites. It has phenomenal color, and can be used for any number of things or just displayed.

Ah good question I guess I should have mentioned that. I held a flashlight behind it to demonstrate the color, and opacity of it.

You certainly can I have made lots of things with them such as earings, pendants and the like. They can be drilled and cut, as long as it is done carefully, and you have a titanium bits.

I won't have a chance to measure exactly but it's something like an inch long, and 3/8 inch wide maybe.

Yep, it's very amber colored. Kinda the same color just without it being illuminated.

No, it actually turns invisible without light and you won't be able to see it. So when you get an empty box in the mail just shine a light on it and it will appear.
