Hey There Treasurehunter ! Nice stuf Very Cool stuff & U still dont no what Gold Electroplated is done or EP That means some gold was transfered to your item .Being of steel metal or brass or copper , even alumm as well ! My family does this in Ohio & i did plating for 38 yrs ! U maybe able to take a magnet & if it sticks there steel & if not ? Maybe copper or brass or Alumm forthe gold to baond to. Its sorta like when u a Easter Egg & u need the hot water & the colors .Same way in plating or EP U Take a bunch of metal items ,hang them on a hook like .Then the Gold or Silver that is in that , What we call Tanks or Plating Tanks All Go in for say 15min & Washed Dry & other stuff ! Its EP Eletro Plated . & NOT lIKE LAYERED Gold Where They put a few layers of siver or gold on items to make them good quality ?
