This will need polishing from time to time. Two nubs plus the curvature of handle keep this level. Very vintage. Could be used as a candy holder also. 10 1/2" long X 5" wide at widest. No problems. Free shipping.

What type of metal ? How big in comparison to another object ?

It's vintage I know but what type of metal under the plating I cannot be sure of. Possibly cast of some sort. It does require cleaning occasionally like silver plate as it does tarnish from time to time. The dimensions are in the description, that's about the best I can do. Sorry not to be of much more help on this.
