How can you see the 1927?

The date is unreadable, but the coin has other distinguishing features that make it easy to identify as a 1917 type 1 quarter.
Type 1 Standing Liberty Quarters were only minted in 1916 and 1917. The type 1 has no stars under the eagle, type 2 has 3 stars under the eagle. So it's definitely a type 1.
The 1916 and 1917 have a few small differences that allow them to be identified. Like head placement, hair curls, gown position by wrist and ankle, and the rivets on the shield.
A 1916 in this condition is worth over $2,000! This one is definitely a 1917.
