The listing, 10 Tussock Bellflower Seeds has ended.
Grow “Bellflower Tussock” from fresh Campanula carpatica seeds. This variety of Bellflower is a perennial plant that will produce violet colored flowers atop 8 to 18 inch green foliage. A beautiful and fast growing plant that isn’t too picky on conditions and can be grown directly in the garden, or in pots or containers. Tussock Bellflower gives off a sweeter scent than most bellflowers.
Tussock Bellflower is easily established from wildflower seed directly in the garden. When the weather becomes warm, and all danger of frost has passed, simply sow the seeds directly to the surface of the soil. It is recommended that you choose a few calm days to establish this plant as the seeds should not be covered. This seed can also be started indoors, in peat pots, 6 to 8 weeks prior to the last frost. If started indoors we recommend using peat pots as they make transplanting less hassling as you can directly transplant the entire pot into the earth.
Water the seeds daily with mist, or a light water setting so that the soil is kept moist until germination occurs. You will need to provide an area that receives full sunlight to partial shade or even an area of full shade. Germination shouldn’t take long, around 7 to 21 days if not sooner and plants will reach maturity a few weeks later.
