Nice coin but for clarity, this is not a Challenge Coin. Although those that don't know wouldn't know the difference. So for a little education on Challenge Coins. First, true challenge coins have a Unit Identifier somewhere, this is almost a requirement because they are general produced by a unit to show membership in that Unit. The United States Air Force is a Service, the USS Roosevelt is a ship these are just two examples I have seen where people have miss identified challenge coins. Generally these coins are third party attempts at trying to make money off a military tradition. Of course in this case, this is a beautifully minted USAF Service Medal made of Copper and for that fact has value separate from being a Challenge Coin. True Challenge Coins get their value from the unit they come from and when the unit had the coins minted. This kind of information is generally hard to come by unless you were a member of the unit or you got the coin from a member of a unit. Also true Challenge coins change in value based on the nearness to the unit they are from, the type of coin, earned or distributed and if the unit still exist. Generally, the higher the rank on the coin (if there is one) the greater the value. Well, thanks for letting me share and Good luck with this coin. I'm watching

Thanks for the info. I had no idea. All my new listings I will delete the word Challenge. I do not want to miss lead anyone, or offend any one in the military. Now fire fighting that's my specialty!!!
