Cleaning is not always a good thing. This is actually an Apothecary Weight used by druggist and pharmacist to measure out medicine when they had to mix it themselves. This is what they would put on one side of a balance scale while they would put the medicine on the other. There is a smaller weight than a Dram or Drachma as it is also know by called a Scruple. 20 grains = 1 Scruple, 3 Scruples = 1 Dram. So if you were given a 3/4 grain of a drug, you got 1/80 of a dram. Aren't you glad we went to the metric System for medicine?
