HISTORY OF SWAG BAGS:
I've had a lot of inquiries lately about my Swag Bags, where they came from, if they are available elsewhere, etc. The truth is, this was a program I created for one of my websites, a popular stay at home mom resource site. Well, do to logistical reasons, the program has been discontinued. I am offering up the remaining Swag Bags here on Listia, but they are going super fast! I'm down to a handful and once they are gone, they are gone for good. Get em while you can!

**I SHIP ON TUESDAYS**

Thanks for viewing this listing and (perhaps) entering the comment drawing! I love Listia, and we're having a great time cleaning out the RV by listing great items on here and turning them into gift certificates for yummy food on our adventures.

Who are we? We're a family of 4 (mom, dad, 12 yr old boy, 10 yr old girl...and don't forget Old Cat and Young Cat) on the adventure of a life-time: experiencing America in our RV. We never know where we're going to be, or why, but we're going to have fun (and troubles) along the way. Fan us and check our listings weekly for updates on our journey.

This week we were in Lebanon, TN for an RV get-together called a "Samboree". We were the youngest people there, as typically, rvers tend to be retirees. Well, that certainly didn't stop us! It was Fab 50's theme, and 10 yr old Sara was invited to join in part of the entertainment. They had a skit planned where they would give hula hoops to a bunch of older folks to try to do on stage. Well, Sara was called up to "show them how its done" after they struggled hysterically! Sara is excellent at hooping. We did a video and will put it on youtube tonight. (rvtravelwithkids).

Fanned you! Great auction! Wish I had enough credits to bid....but anyhow if you are in the Arlington, TX area SO much to do. Don't skip out on a behind the scenes tour of the new Cowboys stadium. It is so amazing. You cannot believe how huge it is! Call a couple of days in advance and they will schedule a tour for you, and it's not too terribly expensive. The Ballpark at Arlington will do the same and is a bit cheaper...it has stunning views and you can get a free short tour if you go eat at TGIFridays Front Row Grill, it overlooks the park and you have to go behind the scenes to get there. Really cool! Go Rangers! Legends Stephanie

**COMMENT DRAWING**
The final picture shows an example of this week's comment drawing. I take care of my fans. Each week we will have a comment drawing. This week's prize is a Mia Bella Car Air Freshener. Scent: My Choice.

All you need to do to enter my drawing is to fan me (if you're already a fan, no problem) and comment on any of my listings telling me what is a "must do" family-friendly activity in your hometown. This could be the town you currently live in, or if you are uncomfortable with mentioning what town you're in, tell me a place to go in the town you grew up in.

These drawings are fun, you don't need any credits to win, and they will give us ideas of must-do activities as our family of 4 continues to travel in our RV throughout this great country.

Check the top comment for details on our trip, as well as last week's prize winner.

We have a love/hate relationship with our Sleep Number. We have to have a special RV sized bed, since a regular queen is too long. So we got the bed through the camping supply company, and no sheets would fit it. Sleep Number did not sell sheets for this particular size, so I had a few sets custom made. That was annoying. Then we have had both bladders pop on the bed, one of them twice! Only twice was it under warranty (only 2 yrs) so the third time we had to cough up a couple hundred for a new air bladder. The thing cost $1400 to begin with, you'd think the bladders would last! And no, we did not puncture them with anything. But, here's the love part. It is absolutely the most comfortable bed we have ever had. For that reason, we are willing to put up with the camping idiosyncrasies of it. (Like, even though it is specially designed for an RV, it still doesn't fit an RV, and we had to modify the bed to fit it, and saying its a PITA to make the bed would be a drastic understatement.)

Well if you are heading to the Midwest then Mt. Horeb Wisconsin is the troll capital of the world. In fact if you go to their website and click on the troll cam you might see them guarding the city hall. I have to ask, how do you do this? Gas is crazy and you must have eat. Did you win the lottery? lol I know people do this when they retire but you are young. I am just so curious so I'm sorry for being nosy. I know kids are homeschooled and what better way to learn then by seeing it all. When I take Emily to the OBX every year I drive her crazy with civil war stuff as we drive through the south. ~Jen~of the Legends!

Trolls! Love trolls! LOL, nope we did not win the lotto. I wish! Gas is crazy. We stay at one place for 2-3 weeks typically. We have a campground membership that cuts down on campground fees. We actually live off less now than we did when my husband worked as a store manager at Home Depot. We just had to figure out money on the road. We created 3 websites (one on full time RVing) that allowed us to do it. It took several years to get the sites to make enough so we could go. We have no stick house eating our expenses, no electric bill, prepaid phones, wireless internet, no rent/mortgage, etc. We can't do everything we want, we still need to budget, but overall, once you get the income worked out, its actually pretty comparable, financially, to living in one place all the time.

I fanned you. This is a great auction. I have never been RVing but I have gone camping and it can really be fun if you like sleeping on the ground. ( not that you need to do that now a days. I was born and raised in NY, Long Island in a village called Sea Cliff. This village is one square mile and has a lot of history to it. You can park your RV at the beach there and walk through the quaint little village and it still looks pretty much the same as it did when I was a kid. There is a beautiful park that overlooks the Long Island sound.and you can see across the water to Connecticut. There is a wonderful craft show that is put on in October every year that is so enjoyable to walk through and the things that people make and sell are absolutely awesome!
I now live in Manassas Va. This is also where there is a lot of history. You can see a lot of Civil war reenactments being done here as well as walk through a lot of the battlefields and walk through the city of Manassas and visit the quaint shops and eat at some of the most wonderful restaurants with some of the most unusual types of foods, and the live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights really brings the town alive.
I will be bidding on this auction for sure.

God Bless and enjoy your tour of the country. Maybe we will see you on your journey.

Amanda, You're never going to believe this, but right this second, as I type this, we are actually IN Dandridge, TN! Before yesterday, I had never heard of the town, but we're staying overnight at an RV park just off 40 on our way to NC today. Creepy, right??

I am glad I stopped by your auction. I love the rving stories!!! I live in Yakima, WA. That is the STATE. It is about 2 hours south and east of Seattle. I am not sure what I would do if I were visiting Yakima. Its a very big 'small' town. Its wine country out here but that excludes the kiddies. I would probably skip it and head to Mt.Rainier park. That is where we take the kids on free weekends. There is a beautiful place called Paradise that is the starting point for people who climb the mountain.

I'd love to climb the mountain. I'm losing weight, almost halfway to my goal weight, and when I get there in a few months, my daughter has promised me that she would take up rock climbing with me. The boys don't like heights :(

Hi I am a fan, I am watching, Bidding and I liked on facebook I Love a good surprise baggy so I will be bidding as well
Now for the contest part
I am from Massachusettes and there is so much to do here every season. Right now we are in fall so going on a ride just to look at the beautifully turning leaves before they fall off the trees and we get snow. Tonight actually in my town in the annual Firehouse tour, we will be bringing the kids and they will be the first to see our new firetruck that just came in while enjoying Pizza with the Boston Red Sox Mascot Wally! They will also learn about fire safety and what to do in the event of a fire. We also have apple picking season going on right now.
Thanks for the Great Auction and enjoy your travels

I'm from Montana too! Near Great Falls. Parents still live there. We tried to do Glacier in August when we came for a visit, but we just had too much fun visiting the folks to want to take a detour! We did do Yellowstone and Grand Teton in WY on the way up, and Mt Rushmore and Badlands on the way east. Even managed to take a rafting trip down the Snake River.
