I have a fat old school ps3 that is fully backwards compatible, it was the model that came with card readers.it has the CF, SD/,iniSD and the pro slot along with four usb slots for controllers. It has a 80 gig hard drive.

The ps3 HAS THE YELLOW LIGHT of death. But is well worth it to have it professorially fixed. Since they are very rare to come by. I will ship for free if THE GIN is used ONLY! I will also throw in the power cord and a video cord. If the GIN is not used the winner is fully responsible for shipping and handling.

I do not remember, but if you are looking to install another os on this system. That update was done years and years ago. The only system that doesn't have that update on it, are the ones that are still new in the box.

The yellow light of death is like the red rings of death on an Xbox 360 games will no longer work and the system has basically overheated and crashed on PS3 it is a yellow light on Xbox it is red rings but both mean easier to buy a used working one than pay to have fixed unless win this auction on here which then is a good deal

Paying to have it fixed is far cheaper then buying a new system. This is considering finding a 4 usb with reader slots isn't that easy to find, since Sony has been trying to buy them all back. Most mom an pop places charge 30-40 dollars to fix the system. Or if you want the system reballed cpu's which is like getting a spanking brand new system that can range from 70-85ish dollars. If I wasn't moving I would have had that done, because this model is THE model to own and keep due to all of it's extra's features.

A xbox which was a flaud system from the start had a huge problem with the RROD and were a dime a dozen for broken system are not the same as a ps3. The ps3 first gen fat are not on the same par nor do they cost the same or have the same features as the xbox system. But by all means of course people are free to go on ebay and pay the money to get whatever they desire.
