It is for a regular DS or DS lite.

the ds and ds lite use different chargers

The boxsays that it works for those two systems. I asked my son who has both systems it is the same charger. His dsi has a different charger.

I can only go by what is on the box. And that the stuff is for all regular Ds's. The charger is for a DS Lite only

ds lite uses smaller charger and the ds uses bigger one and dsi uses different charger then them all i got.all ninentdos and 3ds uses charger as dsi
