The listing, 2 Forever "Civil War" Commemoratives has ended.
Issued in 2013 to commemorate the 150th anniversity of the War for Southern Independence. The army of the CSA was heavily outnumbered in the two battles commemorated from 1863: Vicksburg (naval siege) 71,000 to 20,000; and Gettysburg 83,219 to 75,054. Gettysburg was the turning point for the CSA which had over 28,000 killed. The USA lost over 23,000. This was the first large battle without Stonewall Jackson. With over 3 times the population of the CSA, the USA could absorb the loss of life more easily. The war became one of attrition. The sheet will be folded carefully and sent in a long envelope via USPS.
