Description
The listing, WORLD WAR II Penny Collection has ended.
Coins are incased in hard plastic. Measures 7"L x 4"H and 1/4" thick. Took best pictures I could of front and back. Back reads-Due to a shortage of copper during the critical war year 1943, the Treasury used zinc-coated steel for our cents. In 1944 through 1946, catridge cases were salvaged and used, although the color was slightly different. The original alloy was resumed in 1947.
