Well it looks like the charging cable ends with a usb jack. That is correct, but in order to NOT use the cable, don't you have to have something plug in that communicates with the headset?
I really dont know the answer. But, if its like a tablet or phone, the PS# would have a bluetooth setting for audio, that would ultimately find the signal from the headphone. All without a physical connection. I am not familiar with the PS3 so I really cant tell you how if at all it could be hooked up. I would suggest these headphones for use with tablet, computer, or phone, or even viseo/music player that has bluetooth built-in.
Sorry I dont have a better answer, hopefully one of our local tech people will see this and help you out so you can make a decision.
The cord is for charging, just like your phone. You plug it into a charging block then into wall or into a computer or something with a usb that is wall powered to charge. The headset is bluetooth, on tablet or phone you must have bluetooth capabilities. Go to audio or sound, or even just the bluetooth tab. the device will be found then add to bluetooth paired devices. Its very simple and DOES NOT REQUIRE IT TO BE PLUGGED IN. This is wireless.
I see. Well, I'm fairly confidant that it is compatible with the PlayStation, since it does have that USB cable. PlayStation does have blue tooth. Its just been a long time since I had a headset that wasn't corded. I think my first bluetooth headset had to have something plugged in. Maybe not. I have a controllwer that does. Anyway, I hear you that it does not need that, and accept your answer. Thank you.
