The listing, Make Believe, A Book of Costume and Fantasy has ended.
This book is great, and I can't believe it's gone out of print. I consider myself lucky to have gotten a copy second-hand. It truly does allow kids to create costumes from stuff that is just lying around the house. Grocery sack cowboy (or girl) vests...you bet. Bath towel genies...check. Trash bag caped vampires...yep. (The only costume that's a bit outdated is the cheerleader one that used tractor-feed printer paper ends for pom-poms.) My personal favorite costumes were the Muscle Man, the Island Dancer, and The Equestrienne.
