Description

The listing, Little Boy's Dream – Railroad Engineer's Cap has ended.

It's been a long time since I was a little guy but, I was always interested in trains – real and model. This cap came from a railroad engineer outside of a small Texas town. Originally gotten for my Dad as a Birthday present. Not a hat wearer, he tried it on once, then "retired" the cap. He has passed, the cap came back to me, I'm not a cap wearer either so it's time to pass it to someone who will enjoy it! Or whatever!!! Have fun with it. Commandeer a train, freight of course.

It would depend on how many credits the hat goes for – a lot, yes; very few probably not. Tell me some more about your story.

My grandson loves to play with his Thomas Train set and I know he is a little young for this hat but I think he would love the idea of wearing a railroad engineer's hat when he is playing with his train sets. I think this would be a wonderful Christmas present for him. Is the hat in good condition? It looks like it is in excellent condition. I hope you would not be insulted that something that has been handed down in your family would be given to a small child but he takes care of his things and his parents make sure of that. Thank you for offering such a wonderful item with such a great story. Thank you also for the free shipping.

wwgirl, the cap has been tried on twice. It is in virtually the same shape as when it was new. Don't give it another thought, your boy would be an excellent choice to "inherit" the hat. When we bought it for my father, we knew it would be a miracle for him to put it on – he did for about a minuite, then it was off! I hope you get the hat!

Do you have a specific point range in mind for free shipping to Canada?
I don't think I have a great train interest story, I just really like hats.. though we did ride the polar bear express, as far north as we could ride the train from here.

NO, it is not, unfortunately! The hat is pleated and I think it could be taken up in the back with safety pins but. don't know if it would look good or not.

No, I don't. Looking at the number of points bid for it currently, I couldn't afford it. It would probably be in the 300 to 500 range.
