F/W/B 2 time survivor of BC it is no fun to have to deal with but I am still here and continue to fight for others who have it.

Jayma, I'm so glad you're a survivor. It is a horrible disease. Sadly, my aunt was not so lucky. She didn't have health insurance & did not have a mammo. By the time she discovered the lumps, it was too late. She fought for 2 yrs & lost the battle. I remind all women to get their mammograms! Take care!

Great auction! Great advise about the mammograms! Sadly, sometimes even they can't prevent one losing the battle. My grandmother survived for 2 years, and my mother died exactly 1 year from when her biopsy came back. They both had insurance and had yearly mammograms. They both had surgery, numerous rounds of chemo and radiation. They had a very aggressive type though, so by the time they had their mammograms a year after the last one, the cancer was already there and in their lymph nodes.

So sorry Shana. Sometimes it doesn't matter. But I think mammos & knowing your body do help. I hope you're being diligent about getting tested.

Yes, definitely. I got a baseline done when I turned 30 and my doctor decides every year if I should go for another or not.
