Description

The listing, BLACK EYED SUSAN VINES 5+ SEEDS, ROOTABLE, START NOW has ended.

The Black-Eyed Susan vine looks a little like the better-known wildflower, but there are plenty of differences. The sunny yellow of a Black-Eyed Susan flower is just one of the colors found on this vine flower. They also come in orange and white, all with the dark center that contrasts with the petal colors. There are five petals on each two-inch-wide flower. This is a fast-growing vine that can get to 10 feet in warm climates. In most zones, the Black-Eyed Susan vine is an annual, but in zones 9-10 it will come back again and again as a perennial. Save your seeds and cuttings for the next season . You will have plenty to give friends and neighbors as well as many for different locations for yourself. I love having something different ! I have some in a hanging basket I bring in and hang over a sunny window. It does well and grows bigger every year. I give away many cuttings from this plant. They can be started in pots now and brought inside for the winter if you have a sunny spot to put them. If you decide to transplant they are easy to grow and take well tom a new spot.

This vine is perfect to brighten up trellises, fences, gazebos and columns. It also makes an interesting flower to plant in a hanging basket. It likes moist soil with good drainage and will do best when fertilized regularly. It should be planted in full sun but will tolerate partial sun. They can be planted right after the last frost, or they can be started indoors sooner for faster growth. Cuttings of this vine grow well in moist soil, so once you have this vine growing; it’s easy to share with friends.
