Pair of Japanese Vintage Wooden Kokeshi Doll

Kokeshi is a simple wooden doll consisting of a cylindrical body and a round head inserted into the body and is simple Japanese folk toy. The heads move like nodders.

This type of Kokeshis used to be popular as souvenirs at sightseeing spots everywhere in Japan, but now we seldom see them.

I have been collecting them for years, and these are my favorites. I love that they are so tiny. It is time for them to move on.
