Mario Party 8 is one of the greatest games in the series because it has amazingly fun Wii controls for up to 4 players. It has a bunch of new party boards and a TON of new mini-games.

This is an original Nintendo Wii game that will play in any Nintendo Wii or Nintendo Wii U console capable of playing US/NTSC games. It is COMPLETE with the original Game, Case and Manual and has minor imperfections: (Minor shelf wear on outside of case, manual has many wrinkles and small tears but is complete, game disc has some scratches but does not affect gameplay). The game plays perfectly and will be shipped to all buyers in the USA for free. International buyers are welcome as well but you will be responsible for paying exact costs of shipping to your country. Questions are welcome and answers will be provided quickly and fully. I'm almost 100% certain that this disc would not work on a Wii U. The Wii U is not compatible
with Wii games, and as far as I know, the only Mario Party
title for the Wii U is
Mario Party 10.

The Wii U is 100% Backwards compatible with the Wii. There's even a full Wii menu on the main page of the Wii U. I know because I use the Wii on my Wii U almost exclusively for my Wii Sports resorts titles. Thanks but you're definitely mistaken! I suggest you check out the Wii U though if you don't have one, it's my favorite system in a long time.

I do have a Wii U and a Wii and until now I had been told that it was not backwards compatible with Wii games! I'm sorry that I was mistaken and now i'm incredibly happy that I can play my
wii games on the Wii U

Enjoy! ^_^ I have almost never had to fire up my old Wii now that the Wii U plays the Wii games. The only times I really have is when I wanted to play Gamecube games.

Yeah just the game. For a WiiU system you'd be looking at 1,500,000 or so. Good luck!

Oh and in case you didn't know, virtually all original Wii controllers also work with the Wii on the Wii U. It's incredibly cool ^_^.
