If you click on the menu icon with the spinning disk (when there is no disk in the wii) you will see it search for both Wii and Gamecube. But easier yet just take a photo of the top of the Wii with the tops open...

this is last years model, and from what i see online is that it should play the gamecube games, but I have never done that so I will not speculate on that.

It will have a two top panels on it if it plays Gamecube. One panel will be for game cube controllers. Another way to see is to click on the "Game" selection with no game inside the console... you'll see it is trying to find and load either Wii or Gamecube.

it doesn't mention GameCube when searching for a game but it does have a connector that i believe is for a controller.
