The winner of this auction will receive the 1797 British Cartwheel Penny shown in the attached photos Coins of this type bearing the likeness of King George III were only issued in 1797. These are hard to come by in nice condition and can be quite expensive. I would grade this 200+ year old coin as Fair. The whole date on the reverse is legible as is some of the lettering, images are worn but recognizable. The coin has been dinged a bit but is still pretty cool. The coin is about the size of a silver dollar but much thicker, a heavy coin to be sure. I don’t expect it to sell real high but I do have a nicer specimen so I am selling this one.
