The listing, Huge Lot Plastic, Acrylic & Glass Beads has ended.
Like all beaders I guess, I have a huge number of beads I hang onto but don't love. Nothing wrong with 'em; in fact, my family is somewhat aghast at my choices. But even beads need love, right? I decided to take Listia's destash challenge and see if I can trade these in for beads that will make my eyes sparkle as well as my jewelry.
This is the Plastics lot but it looked sort of paltry next to the other lots so I added some things I actually would rather have kept: the beautiful glass beads I picked out myself not long ago and the new designer kits. I think these beads are interesting even though none of them are "real," in the proper sense. They are "good" plastic or acrylic and in a way, it reminds me of glass vs. gemstone - to me, as a kid, they were both shiny and pretty and I had no care which was which. Sometimes the glass was prettier, as if people made nicer things to make up for not using gemstones. I add the plastic letter stencil for fun - if you work with polymer clay, those can come in handy.
Good luck with your bids and make sure to check out the four other de-stash listings this week!
A little unusual request here: some of these credits will go toward finding the perfect beads for a rosary for my friend {Michelle}: please join me in praying for her. If you need religious jewelry and can't afford it, let me know.
