I can only tell you what the shipper says, & my experience. I have never had that problem, none of mine has ever done that to my finger.
The manufacturer says that it is High Quality Fashion Jewelry & that it will not tarnish, if you are for it properly, it will give you many years of beauty. Caring for it means: do not wear it to wash dishes or use strong cleansers while wearing it, rub & polish it with a soft clean cloth after use.
No one has ever told me they have had that problem. They say it has extra plating over commercial grade copper.
It is High Quality Fashion Jewelry not Fine Jewelry, so you aren't paying the Fine Jewelry price.
