RARE ANTIQUE VINTAGE SET OF MEDICAL SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS, ORIGINAL LEATHER CASE,1900's ? This set looks like one I have seen online. SET IS NOT COMPLETE AND CASE IS IN BAD CONDITION, 3 INSTRUMENTS LOOK IN GOOD (2 scalpels and a scraper ) USED CONDITION FOR THEIR AGE. I'M NOT A SPECIALIST IN MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS. The case is 9" x 7" open and 7" x 3 1/2" closed. These sets are very pricey and I am think hard to come by. If you have any info please share.

Looks me me like a part of a doctors surgical kit. I may be ageing myself here but here goes! LOL!! I was born and raised on a farm back in the early 50's and we had an old country doc in the little town out our way that had a set very similar to these. God how I remember him cutting on me. Saved my life a time or two also. Old woman's ramblings.Anyway, enough of that. Old woman's ramblings. The two surgical knives with the two flat edges were used for opening, the flat edge on the other end he used for peering in shallow wounds. The hooked tool he used to open the incision after cutting. The other tool that is covered so I can't tell what is on the other end. The best that I can make out on the other tool is that it looks like one he used for knocking and chipping out decade teeth, used in conjunction with the hooked tool. Hope that helps some.

Looks like kink.....or something out of Silence Of the Lambs!!!! LOL! I'm a Medical Technologist, and those look like some of the old instruments they had in the display showcases 20 years ago in college....lol! ICK!
