Okay, I use Straight Talk myself, and I am cellphone illiterate, in other words I don't know anything hardly about them, but I have been searching the internet to learn a little more about them. This is some info that I found out concerning Boost Mobile.
I do know this much: In cellular service there are two main competing network technologies: Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA). Cellular carriers including Sprint PCS, Cingular Wireless, Verizon and T-Mobile use one or the other.
Okay a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card: In the US only GSM phones use SIM cards. The removable SIM card allows phones to be instantly activated, interchanged, swapped out and upgraded, all without carrier intervention. Phones that are card-enabled can be used with any GSM carrier.
Now concerning Boost Mobile I got two answers about this so you be the judge and if you can find out more info to clarify the answer please do so!
1) Boost Mobile has two types of service, CDMA and IDEN. So technically it is CDMA and TDMA, they do not have GSM service.
2) Boost Mobile is neither CDMA or GSM. Boost Mobile is owned by Sprint/Nextel. Boost phones run on the Nextel network, which is IDEN. This most closely compares to GSM, but the two systems are not compatible.
I hope this helps! Like I said, I am not very up to date and have never tried to find out anything about the different carriers, networks, and what is compatible, and how they operate, what works with what, etc. Thanks for asking anyway!
This phone will work on any GSM network. It can be used on a prepaid service but it has to be a GSM network that uses a SIM card. Like ATT, T-Mobile, Cricket and others. Services like Verizon, Virgin, and Sprint I believe are CDMA. So it may be unable to be used. Thanks for your interest I appreciate it! :)
I really can't tell you because I have never owned one before. I get this one on a whim but just never used it. I listened to music a couple times an the ret of the time it has been laying in the box it came in on a bookshelf. I just hate to see it not getting any use and want someone else to put it to good use! Thanks for you interest!
Thanks for your interest and asking, I appreciate it very much! Apparently from what info I could find Boost Mobile, since it is not GSM cannot operate with the Amazon Fire phone. Please see info in response below. Thank you!
another great auction i will be bidding on. also i for one appreciate all the effort you put into trying to answer all questions correctly. KUDOS to you sir!!
Than you so much for your kind words I really appreciate them! I was kind of concerned when I decided to list this phone because I knew there would be questions hat I probably wouldn't be able to answer. This is a very nice phone with hardly no use at all. This isn't the first time I have done this...buy something with all the great bells and whistles installed on it, get frustrated because I can't figure out how to work them, and then give it away or sell it. Thanks again! :)
Sorry it took me so long to answer. Sunday is always a busy day for me. I tried this morning but website was having trouble. It has a 4.7" display. Thank you for asking!

Thank you so much for helping with more info about this phone I really appreciate it very much! I never even looked to see exactly what all this phone was capable of doing and what was installed on it, etc. Thanks so much I really appreciate it! :)
