Clarifying - After looking closer the frame is definitely wood and it looks to me like the pieces are wood as well but they might be very thick, hard cardboard. I bought a puzzle like this for my granddaughters awhile back but I don't remember if the pieces were wood. I don't want to to open it in case someone is bidding on it for a gift. Just wanted to make sure I was transparent as possible. Thanks everyone for your interest!
