You should think about an Etsy store or Big Cartel. Make money off your craft. I would buy stuff like this from you.

I have thought about it but I'm afraid of the competition, in order for me to make at least the minimum wage on any one item I would have to price things really high and that will drive away customers

I think there are quite a few of us hyperventilating over it! Looks like you could get a lot of credits off of us! Hope that there is more of this to come.

Thank you guys but the reason I dont auction more yarns is the cost, I cant really translate credits into cash to buy fiber so It makes it hard for me to do so, I go to school full time and babysit my nieces and nephews for free so Im not making any money anywhere.

I understand that but if it is something that you enjoy doing, then making money enough to pay for your supplies with a little left over for you could be worthwhile. Besides people who know a good yarn when they see it are willing to pay for it. I didn't use pay more than $5 for yarn but it doesn't take long to realize quality is better than quantity and I have enough "stuff" anyway. I want the good stuff and just less of it!

No pressure just giving ideas!

I agree with the other gals on here. You would be phenomonal selling your yarn. I don't know what your output cost is to produce , but you could very easily get between $21-27 per hank. If you have your own business - even from home- you can buy your supplies wholesale as long as you have a tax ID number for the said business. This may help in your production costs and ultimately your selling cost. You always want to at least double the cost of selling from what it costs to produce each hank. Believe me, 21- and up is nothing for us yarn crazy lovers to pay for a beautiful piece of good quality fiber!!! Plus, you could be making extra income for school and doing something you love. You really do have an extraordinary talent. !

The more I think about it, the more you guys are convincing me to start my own etsy shop. I have A LOT of bare yarns yet to be dyed and A BUNCH of sock yarn I dyed this weekend, I meant I dyed like 25 hanks I might just set up this shop sooner than I expected.
