Oh, I hope you win it, then! I'm a big ol' sucker for my own two, so I know that it is ALL about the kids! :) Ha.. I'm also using these for my 8 yr. old daughter's (5th grade) classmates' Treat Bags! I'm just not sure how we'll use them. Might make them into dangle clips with a lobster claw clasp.. then they can use it as a zipper pull on their book bag or jacket, or even clip it onto a necklace or bracelet.. or key chain. Something like that. That way, we can make them all the same.. and no one will want what someone else has, lol. Have you decided what you would do with these skulls? Have fun making your Goodie Bags! I don't know WHO has more fun.. my daughter handing them out, or me helping her make them, lol. Good fun. :)

Oh, I'm afraid a shoelace is much too big. These are standard sized bead holes, made to be strung on regular beading wire, nylon thread, or elastic beading string. The hole is between 2mm-3mm, so they also fit standard head pins and eye pins. Oh..Oh.. OH! You know WHAT I just remembered!? Wow.. I have something similar that might just work for you with a larger-sized hole!! I keep forgetting to list them.. but I have some EURO (Pandora) sized skull bead dangles.. they're already hanging on bails!! The bail hole is a good 5+mm, so it fit's standard EURO / Pandora-sized jewelry products. Let me check real quick.. hold on. Yup YUP! They're still there.. and they do indeed fit a shoelace.. they sure do! I even put it through twice (double-thickness) to be sure, lol.. so plenty large of a hole. These aren't made of the Howlite gemstone like this auctions' skulls, though. These skulls are a colored resin, with black detailing (eyes, crevices, facial features, etc).. which makes it stand out more. More kid-friendly, actually.. and in all kinds of bright colors.. so you could have your girl and boy colors.. and even neutral colors, lol. In these I have: white, red, light yellow/dark yellow, light blue/dark blue, light green/dark green, hot pink/mauve pink.. light purple, dark purple, orange.. a whole rainbow of colors, lol. I must have at least a hundred or more of these guys.. so plenty enough for your two classes. I know Bella's 5th grade has about 21 students in one class, and 23 in the switch class. But you let me know if interested, and I'll get them listed. Absolutely no worries and no pressure to bid if you didn't want them.. I'm sure they'd sell, especially with Halloween here and being the larger EURO size holes on bails. Just say the word, and I can take photos to get them listed. Well gosh.. thanks, ha! I can't believe I forgot all about these poor little fella's.. they've been all alone in that cold, dark closet, lol.. :)

Aww.. I inherited my mother's sewing/craft box, too. :) One of those big, old, ugly, avocado-green, (bakelite or celluloid?) hinged-boxes with the trays inside, that they had in the 60's and 70's. I love it. And I know EXACTLY what you mean, 'cause I'm one of those mothers that says "Bella.. no more junk!" Lol. I LOVE your tootsie-roll pop Ghost idea.. definitely stealing that one for out Treat Bags! You know, if you had some cording.. any kind, a LOT of it, lol.. you could make necklaces. The kids would so love skull necklaces.. and they'd keep 'em for sure. Waay Cool! :) Just measure your child's head so they're big enough to fit, lol. Then you could just tie the loose ends in a knot.. nice and simple. I'll get those resin skulls listed in lots of #50.. that should be enough for two average-sized classes. Just let me know if you need more and we'll work it out. Be on the lookout for them! :)
