Mica has many craft uses: it can be crushed and added to varnish for a glittering effect, it can be carved into flat beads for jewelry, or it can be added peeled apart and added to lamp shades. I had someone buy a pound a few years ago so they could make fishing lures with it, say it would make the sides glitter and attract more fish. They even make great mineral specimens.
