Of course google has nothing to do with Sony, but you seem to believe this is a bootleg copy. I suggest you look it up on google images or another search engine. The dvd label was made to look like a bootleg. The design is easy to find if you look it up.

If you plan to pick up the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo DVD this week, don’t be surprised if it looks like a bootleg DVD. According to reports online, the DVD caused quite a stir among Redbox customers due to its design. Folks were so confused about getting what looked like a homemade copy of the movie that Redbox had to issue a notice about its design. As you can see in the picture above – yes, the DVD was designed to look like that.

In case you were wondering why the designers to package the film in such a manner, it is a reference to the story’s heroine who is a computer hacker. It’s definitely one of the more interesting DVD designs we’ve seen in awhile and it’s little surprises like these that keep users interested in physical copies of movies as opposed to downloaded digital versions.

It's not a bootleg. This is the original dvd. Sony studios designed it to look like a bootleg disc, like what was done with the movie Bruno.

It is a dvd copy from a set that came with the blu ray and dvd. I am putting the dvd up for auction and keeping the blu ray for myself

This IS how they actually made the disc is NOT an illegal copy because I have the same. Plus you can see the markings in the middle and the big dvd/Sony logo info on the side. If he flips it over, it's going to be a clear disc which proves its REAL. Fake/bootlegs have a purple bottom always..

It is in English. You can turn on subtitles for the hearing impaired thru the menu.
