check with vzw if they can change the esn to prepaid as it is currently a contract phone they've done it in the past but i am unsure

This is for verizon network on a contract account no sim card and can only be used to the network u can try and unlock at your own risk but I don't reccomend it

That is correct this is the CDMA model not the GSM for Verizon network only
