This is an older piece of jewelry I put together some time ago. I purchased one already made for myself and called i my prayer box. I slipped a tiny piece of paper in it which read my favorite Psalm. So whenever I needed a pick me up, I was reminded of God's truth. I do not believe the chain to be sterling but may be since I purchased sterling silver on spools because it is cheaper and I could also make any lengths I desired. To be safe, I will say the chain to be silvertone, or plated. The box, I believe is sterling. However due to the intricate design and eyesight i cannot say. I do remember purchasing it and it saying sterling. If it is stamped, chances are, it is stamped on the bail. The chain measures 16" with a spring clasp. The box locks with a hook and actually only big enough to place a tiny piece of paper. You could also put solid perfume, or make it a tiny pill box if you so desired. This is perfect for a child that is learning scripture or one who has been baptised with the date written on it. So much ideas. If you are not comfortable bidding on this, please don't.
