Also known as Calonyction aculeatum), they are a favorite of many gardeners. Moon flower vines can grow upwards to 20 feet with 6-inch-wide blossoms that open from evening until the following midday. Once established, they require little care. If you have a sunny location and something for the flowers to grow on, then grab a package of moon flower seeds and get started.

These moonflowers are a bit different from mine. These are quite trumpet shaped, where the ones I have grown open wide..I wonder if it is the difference in climates that makes this difference? The fact is- they are beautiful and fragrant and a joy to have.

These will actually get wider, yes they have that great smell to them, I love it. I was thinking about growing one in a pot beside my front door, I think as long as I keep it watered it should do good.that smell would be a awesome welcome for my company
