Questions & Comments
this is gorgeous. I am a big fan of the pineapple pattern as that was one of my moms favorites. I am fanning and watching this auction,
WOW this is beautiful My Grandma crocheted and taught me hoe to do the basic steps. I was only 10 when she lived with us. I did many fine thread doily's and even did a girl with a bonnet and as you I have none of my work. I gave it all to family and friends. I have not crocheted in years. I don't even know if i could use the small thread or med thread now it has been so long. Your work is very beautiful oh I have fanned, Watching and most def. bidding.. have a great weekend and hope you enjoy Listia like I do.
Thank you so much for the kind words... I fear that this will be a lost art if woman don't teach it to their daughters. I would love to learn Irish crochet but not my thumb joints are giving me trouble so it better be quick.LOL.
brave??? because you think it isn't worth it????????? hahahahahaha that is beautiful!!! Is that like tatting?? My step mom does that. I can crocet, and my mom knits. Your stuff is great. Take it from somebody that knows my stuff is very 5th grade. Ihave bid on this. I'd like to have 2-4 even #'s. Do you have more like that? That is a great design. Let me know. I got points, and willing to spend on this!!! Yea!! emeraldtigger Listia Legends
I'm sorry I did't reply to your comment sooner. I am so new to this I have been looking around and betting on the auctions but not paying much attention to my one little thing I have up. Thank you for the nice things you said. I really appreciate it. I do love to crochet and right now that is the only one of those that I have. I have a bunch of others that I took pictures of and might put up. I spent a year that I couldn't move around much but my hands and just crocheted every pattern I could get my hands on using all the thread I had on hand.
Thankyou so much. The pineapple is one of my favorites too. I never kept mystuff until recently. My cargiver told me I should start putting it out in my own house and now I really enjoy it more. My mom crocheted and I never got any or her stuff. She wouldn't teach me so I would sneak down the street and the 80 something lady taught me to chain sticth and from there I taught myself... I wish more people would bet.
I can make a granny square........but its not my moms fault.........was raised on a horse farm and more interested in the horses than crocheting lol I wish i had got more of her stuff when she passed away but i didn't but i do love the pineapple pattern.
I am going to put in a few little doilies I made , one of a kind, or a few matching , that are made for knick knacks for the winners package. So happy bidding. And thanks for all the comments. You are all making my first experience so much fun.. I put up two more small doilies and am putting up a few more things today but am having trouble loading the pictures.
